January 2015

Mason Turns One

Mason turns one soon.  It’s hard to believe a year has gone by.  His mom and Dad were students of mine and I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding.  I love watching these little ones grow up.  He was a delight in the studio and enjoyed his cake!  We liked watching him enjoy it.  I smile every time I look at these pictures.

Wedding Albums

January and February are wedding album design months at the studio.  Normally these are my slower months so I use the time to catch up on the tedious work like album design.  Each page is individually crafted to tell the story of that special day.  Then each page is edited and examined carefully.  This book will last a lifetime and beyond so it’s important that it be perfect.

Children at Weddings

CM6A0249edweb CM6A0297edwebPhotographing children at weddings is sometimes a challenge.  If I find one that is reluctant to look a the camera, I try to engage her in an activity.  Some children love the camera.  Others are apprehensive about the whole day in general.

Final Wedding of 2014

The Pearson Wedding was the last one of a busy wedding year.  What a rewarding way to end the year.  I love spending weddings with friends, and these friends seem more like family.

I really do love photographing weddings.  It’s hard work and the post processing is long and tedious, but the results are rewarding.  I especially love working with old friends, like the Pearsons, and photographing the sister of a previous bride.  It’s like working with family.  The best thing about this wedding is that it was the last one of 2014.  Whew!  What a year for weddings.

Cold Weather Friends

When it’s cold outside I feel better knowing that everyone in my care is safe and warm.  I’ll be the first to admit that my animals are spoiled, and I like it that way.  Ali is comfortable most anywhere, but Summer likes to flop over the arm of the sofa where she can keep an eye on me.
